Peskov says Russia protects interests of firms including Aeroflot
MOSCOW, Oct 20 (PRIME) -- Russia protects the interests of its companies, including of Aeroflot, whose as its employees were accused of smuggling electronic devices worth U.S.$50 mln from the U.S., presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"I am unaware of the matter of the claim presented to the Russian company but I think that the Russian company can protect its own interests as follows," Peskov said. "And the Russian state, of course, always protects the interests of local companies."
The Prosecutor's Office of the Eastern District of New York accused 10 people of smuggling electronic goods to Russia in collusion with the current and former employees of Aeroflot.
